- Mike Wagner Review added: 2018.01.12★ ★ ★ ★ ☆This area is for sure worth a visit, especially if one is in Scotland. The geology aspect is very interesting. Good luck arriving on a warm, sunny day - we were attacked by cold, powerful winds, but not much rain at least with bits of sun. Like the other reviews, be prepared to get wet and dress appropriately. Would I go back? No. Once was enough. Places like New Zealand, the american southwest, the north coast of Spain (Picos De Europa) are much more interesting overall than Skye - to me.
